Watching the process of someone trying to do something well and making mistakes, correcting those mistakes then repeating the process of try-mistake-fix over and over, Is a lot more encouraging than seeing the finished product.

With only the end product to view we intend to think of the creator as a genius and in some ways idolise them. What we haven't seen are all the mistakes and corrections that produced the end product.

Watch Derek Sivers video "Why You Need to Fail", especially Picasso's painting of the Bull Fighter. It is Quite eye opening.
